Five Points need a Sales & Account Manager


Do you want to jump from one side of the bar to the other and work in field based sales in the drinks industry?

Have you been working in field sales for a year or two but have never had any training or support on the sales side of things?


If you answered yes to either, Five Points Brewing Company may have just the role for you.Apply to join the Five Points team as a Sales & Account Manager covering North & West London and go through a six month ‘Field Sales Accelerator’ training programme.


Your job would to be to manage and develop an account base of On Trade accounts and prospect for new business. The existing patch you will take over is currently doing £320,000 per year. You need to keep hold of that and grow it by following the sales plan that is in place. You will be given everything you need to do the job and do it well.


So, who are you?


Firstly, you don’t need to come from a Field Sales background. If you’ve previously had interviews and someone isn’t willing to take the ‘risk’ on you, we are.


However, if you are currently working in an On or Off trade Field Sales environment we would love to hear from you.

We will put you through the Field Sales Accelerator: a six month structured training, coaching and mentoring programme for junior or first time field sales people, tailored to the UK On Trade delivered by external partners 2EM (that’s us).


As part of this, you will learn new skills: in the classroom, through accompanied days in trade and through access to a team of experienced drinks industry sales trainers to get you up to speed quickly.


Reason for the expansion of the sales team? Rapid growth. Five Points brewed over 16,000 HL in 2019. That was growth of 29% on top of the 19% they grew the year before. They have been brewing modern classics since 2013, and they’re proud to now be the largest independent brewery in London‘at the absolute heart of London’s craft beer scene’ according to leading beer writer, Pete Brown.


They champion flavour, provenance and consistency, and their range of award-winning beers are immediately recognisable – vibrant, modern and a staple of taps and shelves across London and far beyond as an emerging National brand.

They pride themselves on their commitment to the community – they were the first UK brewery to become Living Wage accredited and also partner with a local charity each year. In May 2018 they bought their first ever taproom, and are now the proud owners of the Pembury Tavern located in the heart of Hackney.


The things we are after:


· A genuine interest in the beer scene – preferably with a focus on the On Trade

· Experience in a management or supervisory role in a bar or restaurant is advantageous, if you have no sales experience

· A real love and appreciation of beer

· A thirst to learn – we need team players who show they are ready to learn new skills, be successful, and progress

The salary is £24,000 to £26,000 dependent on your experience (we can talk about it) + bonus, travel expenses, phone, tablet and investment in your personal development.
