London’s Top 10 New Beer Releases - June 2025
As the days stretch longer and the weather began to really heat up, June brought a fresh wave of excitement to London’s beer scene. From bold West Coast IPAs to crushable Hazy Pales, this month’s Top 10 is stacked with creativity and flavour.
Here’s what’s been catching attention across taps and fridges last month:
1. Marimba - Pressure Drop Brewing
IPA - New England / Hazy - 6.5%
Pressure Drop slide straight in at number 1 for the second consecutive month, this time with a hazy hop bomb with layers of citrus and tropical fruit, Marimba delivers that signature Pressure Drop softness with heaps of grapes, a little lychee, and some pear too, with a lovely dry finish!
2. When Worms Align - Pretty Decent Beer Co
Pale Ale – New England / Hazy – 4.5%
A playful name for a pretty serious pale ale. Light-bodied and easygoing but loaded with character - stone fruit and melon dominate from the pairing of Citra and Nelson Sauvin hops, with a lingering finish that invites another sip.
3. Big Whoops - Gravity Well Brewing Co
IPA – New England / Hazy – 6.8%
Dense, juicy, and unashamedly hazy. Gravity Well knows this style inside out, and Big Whoops, their collaboration with Pretty Decent Beer Co, hits all the right notes - sweet mango and stone fruits notes dominate, featuring Krush and Nectaron.
4. India Pale Ale HBC 1019 - The Kernel
IPA - American – 7.0%
Showcasing experimental hop HBC 1019, this is Kernel doing what it does best - clean fermentation, low bitterness, and a single hop allowed to shine. Expect punchy melon, peach and citrus.
5. Lazy Bones - Great Beyond Brewing
IPA - Imperial / Double – 8.0%
A bold entry from Great Beyond. Lazy Bones is big, rich and unapologetically boozy, with a thick, warming body. Definitely not one to rush.
6. Tubby Custard - Pretty Decent Beer Co
IPA – New England / Hazy – 7.2%
If we were rating the top 10 beer names each month, Pretty Decent would sweep the board. Their 2nd of 3 entries in June reminds us that their fun names are backed by superb beers. This heavyweight NEIPA is smooth and lush, packed with hops from the US, New Zealand and Australia for explosive flavour.
7. Laszlo Junior - Gravity Well Brewing Co
Pale Ale – New England / Hazy – 5.2%
Balanced and soft, this hazy pale from Gravity Well walks the line between soft fruitiness and crisp citrus refreshment. A solid, everyday option with plenty of finesse.
8. Chaos - Pressure Drop Brewing
Pale Ale – New England / Hazy – 4.8%
Light, fragrant, and utterly smashable. Pressure Drop’s “Chaos” brings tropical aromas with a mellow bitterness, making it an ideal summer fridge-filler.
9. NZ Hazy Pale Ale - Distortion Brewing
Pale Ale – New Zealand – 4.8%
A limited edition release featuring a showcase of New Zealand hops Nectarine and Superdelic. Distortion Brewing nails the NZ hazy brief here. A refreshing and slightly offbeat addition to the month’s list.
10. Nineteen Eighty Westy - Pretty Decent Beer Co
IPA – American – 5.9%
Sharp grapefruit and resinous pine combine for a punchy, old-school IPA with a modern edge. A West Coast lean without the overkill - clean, structured, and refreshing.
This month’s list sees strong showings from Pretty Decent, Gravity Well, and Pressure Drop, each putting out distinctive and crowd-pleasing releases. It’s also great to see breweries like Great Beyond and Distortion breaking through with beers that clearly resonated with drinkers.
As always, we raise a glass to everyone keeping London’s beer scene vibrant, inventive, and just the right amount of refreshing for those hot summer days!
