Mondo Brewing Launches Crowdfunder to Upgrade Battersea Taproom

Independent Battersea brewery Mondo Brewing Company has launched a six-week crowdfunding campaign to raise £25,000 in support of an ambitious taproom upgrade - aiming to enhance its space, improve flow, and transform it into a true all-day community hub.

The campaign, which runs until Wednesday 3rd December, will directly fund:

• A new kitchen, designed to bring fresh, high-quality food to the taproom.

• A redesigned bar to create a more welcoming and efficient space for busy nights.

• A full coffee setup, helping Mondo open earlier and serve the community from morning flat whites through to evening pints.

“This Crowdfunder is about taking Mondo to the next level,” said Todd Matteson, Co-Founder and Director at Mondo Brewing Company. “Like so many independent breweries, we’ve faced some tough years, but our community has always shown up for us. Now we’re asking for their help again, to upgrade the taproom and keep local beer culture alive in Battersea.”

Double Your Money at the Bar

Supporters can back the campaign with pledges that come with generous rewards - effectively doubling their money in bar credit. A £25 pledge becomes a £50 bar tab, while higher tiers include exclusive Mondo merchandise and even lifetime discounts for top-tier supporters.

The offer also extends to Mondo’s online shop, giving supporters across the UK the opportunity to participate. Pledges via the webshop receive an equivalent bonus - for example, £100 pledged equals £150 in online credit — with local supporters able to collect directly from the taproom.

Christmas Parties and Team Events

Mondo is also offering a Party Package as part of the campaign, allowing businesses and event planners to double their event budgets when booking with the brewery. A £200 pledge, for example, gives £400 behind the bar for team drinks or festive celebrations — a move designed to encourage local engagement while supporting independent hospitality.

A Community Cornerstone

Since opening in 2014, Mondo Brewing has become a much-loved fixture of the Battersea community, known for its warm atmosphere, balanced beers, and deep commitment to local collaboration.
