May 2025: Top 10 New London Beer Releases

Top 10 New Releases – May 2025

May delivered a particularly hop-forward line-up, with New England IPAs dominating the list alongside standout double IPAs and inventive fruited sours. Breweries like Gravity Well, Pretty Decent, and Pressure Drop once again made their mark with confident, flavour-packed releases that reflect the energy of London’s brewing scene right now.

Here are the ten new beers that stood out this month:

1. Pressure Drop Brewing – Slow Blink
New England IPA · 6.5% ABV
Bright and expressive, Slow Blink brings soft citrus and tropical fruit with a gentle haze and balanced bitterness. Pressure Drop shows once again how dialled-in their hazy game has become.

2. Gravity Well Brewing Co – Yoga Flame
Imperial / Double IPA · 8.0% ABV
Massive fruit character and a velvet-soft mouthfeel make this DIPA a standout. Big mango, sticky pine, and a touch of heat on the finish give it real weight without losing drinkability.

3. Gravity Well Brewing Co – Shall I Give You Dis Pear
Fruited Sour · 3.4% ABV
A refreshingly low-ABV sour that leans into pear’s delicate character with a subtle acidic tang. Light, bright, and clean — perfect for warmer days.

4. Pretty Decent Beer Co – The Doberman
Imperial / Double IPA · 8.0% ABV
Bold and barky in the best way. The Doberman prowls with resinous hops, juicy citrus, and a chewy malt base that keeps everything in balance. Built for fans of old-school meets new.

5. Gravity Well Brewing Co – Quantum Saturation
American IPA · 6.5% ABV
A slightly West Coast-inspired release, Quantum Saturation walks the line between pithy bitterness and bright citrus. Clean, crisp, and compelling.

6. Pretty Decent Beer Co – You’ve Reached Your Potential
Fruited Sour · 5.5% ABV
Playful but focused, this sour balances tart fruit with a creamy softness. Tropical notes give way to a sharp finish, leaving you refreshed and wanting more.

7. Gravity Well Brewing Co – Clear Shock
New England IPA · 6.0% ABV
Another hazy triumph from Gravity Well. Bursting with ripe peach and citrus, Clear Shock lives up to its name with a clean finish and a soft, juicy texture.

8. Bullfinch Brewing – Cloud of Daggers
New England IPA · 6.5% ABV
A punchy entry for Bullfinch, their first entry in our top 10 list! This hazy IPA showcases zesty grapefruit, resinous hops, and a pillowy body. Loud, sharp, and just the right amount of menace.

9. Pressure Drop Brewing – Gossip
New England IPA · 6.5% ABV
Subtle tropical fruit and a laid-back bitterness make Gossip a smooth operator. Balanced and confident, with a satisfying depth that lingers.

10. Howling Hops – NEIPA Series No. 7
New England IPA · 6.8% ABV
The latest in Howling’s rotating NEIPA series brings passionfruit and melon up front, with a gentle malt backbone and cloudlike haze. A reliable highlight of their output.

This month’s list underlines just how strong London’s hazy IPA game remains — but the variety of sours and classic American styles breaking through proves there’s still plenty of room for flavour innovation.
