Bianca Road Begins a Bold New Chapter with Fresh Ownership and Big Plans

Bianca Road Brew Co, a proud member of London’s independent brewing community, has just announced a significant milestone - new ownership from within its own talented team.

The Bermondsey-based brewery, founded in 2016 by Reece Wood, will now be co-owned by Matt Simpson, Jordan Fancey, and Terry Staples - familiar faces who have helped shape Bianca Road from the inside over the years. Joining them are two respected figures in UK brewing: Dennis Ratliff and Andrew Fleming, both bringing extensive experience and a fresh sense of purpose to this next chapter.

Dennis Ratliff, previously head brewer at Brew By Numbers, Partizan, and Hammerton, is known for his precision, balance, and commitment to brewing quality. Andrew Fleming, currently Head Brewer at Brewpoint and formerly Senior Brewer at Fourpure and Operations Manager at Brew By Numbers, brings deep insight into both production and operations.

The new team aren’t just taking the reins - they’re hitting the ground running. Bianca Road will continue to produce the core beers fans love while also exploring new directions with upcoming releases, collaborations, and a brand-new, community-focused taproom in the works.

In their own words,

While Bianca Road has always been a great brewery, we believe there’s so much more potential to unlock. With the new team, fresh energy, and new ideas, we’re evolving Bianca Road into something even more exciting—keeping the heart, but pushing the limits.

Expect:

  • The Bianca Road classics to remain
  • A new wave of beers and collaborations
  • Renewed focus on quality and sustainability
  • A more connected taproom experience for the local community

The LBA would like to recognise the outstanding contributions of Reece Wood, who founded Bianca Road and built it into a beloved part of the London beer landscape. His drive and creativity were key to its growth and reputation, and we wish him all the best in whatever comes next. We also look forward to seeing what’s next from Bianca Road.

Cheers to fresh energy, new leadership, and the next evolution of a true London brewery.
