Bianca Road Launches Crowdfunder to Reimagine Their Bermondsey Taproom
Bianca Road Brew Co, one of South London’s most recognisable independent breweries, has launched a new crowdfunding campaign to support the creation of an upgraded, reimagined taproom right in the heart of the Bermondsey Beer Mile.
The campaign follows the recent announcement of Bianca Road’s new ownership, led by a team of familiar faces including Matt Simpson, Jordan Fancey and Terry Staples – all long-time members of the Bianca Road team – alongside industry veterans Dennis Ratliff and Andrew Fleming.
This crowdfunder marks the start of a new phase for the brewery: one rooted in quality, community, and a deep love for fresh beer, served well.
Back the Taproom, Get Rewarded
Unlike traditional fundraising, this is a reward-based campaign – and Bianca Road are doing it properly. Every backer receives 200% of their pledge back in credit to spend at the new taproom or via their online shop. It’s a direct way to support the future of the brewery while getting more beer (or merch) for your money.
This isn’t just about creating a nicer bar. By relocating and redesigning the taproom, the team will free up critical space inside the brewery to install a dedicated cold store – a move that will allow for increased production, tighter cold-chain control, and even higher quality standards.
What to Expect
The new venue, still based within the double-arch Bermondsey site on Enid Street, promises more taps pouring fresh beer, more comfortable seating, and a laid-back, inclusive atmosphere that reflects the spirit of the team behind it.
With live music, DJs, tank-fresh pours, and a rotating line-up of Bianca Road classics and collabs, the taproom will continue to serve as both a community hub and a showcase for some of the best West Coast-style pales, IPAs and lagers in the capital.
As the new team puts it:
While Bianca Road has always been a great brewery, we believe there’s so much more potential to unlock. With fresh energy and new ideas, we’re evolving Bianca Road into something even more exciting – keeping the heart, but pushing the limits.
